The annual NASA Industry Day was held at NASA Ames Research Labs from June 25-27, 2017. This three-day event was dedicated to bringing the small businesses community, Industry at large, and experts across NASA together to explore and share ideas and innovations. Industry Day is sponsored by the NASA SBIR and STTR programs, funding the research, development, and demonstration of innovative technologies that fulfill NASA's needs as described in the annual Solicitations and have significant potential for successful commercialization.
D2K Administrative Staff attended to obtain in-depth information about the SBIR/STTR processes and to interact directly with SBIR/STTR program experts, NASA technologists, and fellow industry partners.
Bill Walker, Chief Operating Officer for D2K, reported, “The announced need for innovative autonomous AI software solutions applicable to NASA Deep Space programs is directly in line with current research and work underway by our engineering staff.”
Jamie Riley, Administrative & Marketing Assistant for D2K, remarked, “NASA’s Industry Day far exceeded my expectations; we discovered there are a wealth of opportunities for small businesses. We are looking forward to participating in the 2018 SBIR/STTR solicitations opening in January.”
